Job Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for a highly capable and technically-minded Render Technician with rendering and debugging experience in Unreal Engine 5. The Render Technician will be working within Unreal Engine 5 to render our 3D animated shows such as Meta Runner, Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus and be responsible for pushing the technical limitations of our team. You will be working with the showrunner, look dev artists and post production team in problem solving and delivering key visual requirements for our shows as well as optimising our rendering pipeline. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve key visual goals/tasks based on the needs of the project in UE5.

  • Render wrangling and fixes.

  • Debug and solve technical issues in UE5.

  • Ensure that projects are optimized in UE5 and run smoothly.

  • Work with the post production team to finalise, light, polish and render out animated shows.

  • Create and implement stunning VFX for our shows.

  • Solutions may involve working with multiple departments and pieces of software (e.g Houdini and/or Nuke)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Strong experience and understanding of Unreal Engine or similar real-time rendering engines.

  • An attention to detail and problem solving for overcoming issues with renders and technical difficulties.

  • Strong ability and desire to solve visual and technical problems.

  • A detail oriented mindset with a dedication to problem solving and overcoming technical issues.

  • Good understanding of the animation or video game pipeline

  • Experience with the Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere & Photoshop)

  • Basic experience with 3D modelling/animation software (e.g Maya)

  • Self-motivated and the ability to work and solve problems with minimal assistance;

  • Highly organized with the ability to adhere to production schedules;

  • Well-developed communication skills and strong work ethic;

  • Desire to work with a team.

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience in C++

  • Experience creating static & motion graphics

  • Experience with 3D animation

  • Experience with Maya
