Job Information:

We are looking for a HR Officer to manage the day to day human resources needs of our rapidly expanding team. The role will see you work closely with our General Manager and executive team across a range of HR functions such as: talent acquisition, employee management, payroll, training and development, and internal communication.

Your duties will include:

  • Talent scouting and acquisition to support the growth of our rapidly expanding team.

  • Assisting the General Manager in organising, planning, and managing development workshops and programs to improve the performance and skills of the company.

  • Setting KPIs and organising employee performance reviews to advise management on development and skill training opportunities for the team.

  • Facilitating the company’s values of passion, innovation, trust, and co-operation through team events, policies, internal messaging, and workshops.

  • Assisting the executive team to coach, advise, and support middle management on a variety of people issues, in order to assist all levels to enhance their people leadership capability.

  • Support the health and satisfaction of staff through mediation, conflict resolution, wellbeing check-ins, and policy adherence.

  • Light admin work such as payroll and inbox moderation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.

  • Knowledge and experience with HRIS.

  • Be extremely organised and have a strong work ethic.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

  • Engaging personality and willingness to learn.

  • Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making things.

  • Conflict management skills and knowledge of mediation techniques.

  • Consistently strong problem-solving skills, as well as the capability to work in a disciplined manner and to make timely, well-thought-out decisions.
