Job Information:

Glitch is looking for a highly capable and skilled IT Technician who will be responsible for installing, managing, and maintaining all company hardware and software, and ensure that all systems are operational for 2D & 3D animation production.

​

As we have both on-site and remote workers, the IT technician will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and managing our on-site network and our cloud services/technologies. This involves, but is not limited to, the company cloud storage and virtual workstations implemented via AWS. They will be responsible for ensuring optimal usage speeds for all staff members across the world.

As we are quite a well-known internet-based company, cyber attacks are common. Hence, the IT technician will also be in charge of the company’s cyber security and ensure all staff members and company systems are protected against any cyber-attacks.

Your duties will include:

  • Building and repairing PCs in the office.

  • Install, update and troubleshoot CG/animation software and accounts.

  • Ensure PCs are operating to maximum capacity for CG production and animation purposes.

  • Set up and manage the internal computer network at the office.

  • Set up, manage and maintain cloud storage and cloud virtual workstations via AWS.

  • Implement, manage and maintain cyber security measures for all staff and all staff accounts.

  • Maintain and manage our version control software (perforce).

  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware/software issues with staff.

  • Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications, and operating systems.

  • Analysis of monitoring events, proactive identification of performance issues and taking measures to optimise operations.

  • Recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, network enhancements and modifications, and maintenance instructions.

  • Record inventory of all software and hardware in the office.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in IT networks and data centers.

  • Experience setting up and maintaining computer hardware, applications and software.

  • Experience with setting up and maintaining business remote solutions with platforms such as AWS.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a rapidly evolving technical environment.

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies.

  • Understanding of Network technology and Networking principles (eg. VLAN's, Subnetting, Firewalls etc).

  • Experience with setting up and maintaining cyber security systems.

  • Experience with version control software such as perforce.

  • Excellent communication skills with staff, clients and partners.

  • Ability to document and keep inventory of hardware/software.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in the animation or game development industry

  • Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity

  • Experience with Maya
