Glitch Productions is looking for a highly capable and diligent Storyboard artist to work with our directors to create storyboards from scripts that the rest of the team will utilize. The shows we make are largely comedic with set pieces of action

NOTE: Our previs pipeline incorporates the use of thumbnail storyboards. I.e Opting for speed & efficiency for a sacrifice in storyboard fidelity/quality

Responsibilities

• Clearly & efficiently communicate camera position & movement through storyboards

• Has a strong sense of comedic timing/direction and visualisation

• Clearly & efficiently communicate character posing, expressions, staging, and movement through storyboards

• Clearly & efficiently communicate environmental points of reference, VFX, and objects through storyboards

• Work with the Director, Producers, and previs team to communicate ideas through storyboards

• Create “thumbnail storyboards” at a fast pace.

• Create well-timed ‘animatics’ from storyboards with basic scratch audio

• Devise new action beats and choreograph dynamic fight sequences

• Address any problems by communicating with the Director, Producer, Supervisor, or Coordinator

• Able to offer strong solutions and bring new ideas to the table

• Communicate progress of work to Producer and to appropriate production staff.

• Provide accurate time estimated for the completion of assignments.

• Self-motivated and the ability to work and solve problems with minimal assistance;

• Highly organized with the ability to adhere to production schedules;

• Well-developed communication skills and strong work ethic;

• Desire to work with a team. Share knowledge and grow together.

Qualifications/Experience ​​

• 2+ years experience creating storyboards

• Strong understanding of camera techniques and principles

• Strong understanding of timing/pacing for visual mediums

• Strong understanding of character animation principles

• Strong will and self-motivation to complete tasks on time

• Works well within a team
