Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia making original, long form animated shows distributed on Youtube. Our channel has over 10 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists that are determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. Our latest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 300 million views on the pilot alone and we have a lot more still to come.

Job Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for an experienced Lead Cleanup and Color Artist to oversee the cleanup and coloring phase of our 2D animation projects. This role will see you working closely with both internal teams and external studios in ensuring the final look of the series aligns with the showrunner’s creative vision. As a key part of the leadership team, you will manage a group of artists and help guide the quality and consistency of the ink and paint process.

Your duties will include:​

• Cleanup and color animations created by the in-house animation team.

• Supervise and provide feedback for vendor studios who are focusing on cleanup and color.

• Develop a cohesive color style in alignment with the showrunner’s vision and based off of color scripts.

• Clearly convey the show’s visual stylistic direction to the team, ensuring it is consistently adhered to throughout the production.

• Manage and mentor a team of cleanup and color artists to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years in cleanup and color for traditional animation.

• Proficiency with Toon Boom Harmony.

• Keen eye for detail

• Strong understanding of the 2D traditional animation pipeline.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with 3D software such as Maya or Blender.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder management and time management skills.

• Be extremely organized and have a strong work ethic.

• Engaging personality and willingness to learn.

• Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making things.

• An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.
