Our channel has over 10 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists that are determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. Our latest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 300 million views on the pilot alone and we have a lot more still to come.

Job Information:

Glitch Productions is looking for a highly organised and analytics-focused financial accountant to join the team and coordinate the expanding financial operations of the company. The role will see you working closely with the General Manager to implement internal financial reporting and accounting instruments, as well as creating reports and forecasts for use by the executive team as they plan the expansion of this rapidly growing company. Glitch Productions is at the forefront of changing the way studios produce and fund content, and this role will see you helping chart the path we take and the innovations we make.

Your duties will include:​

  • Accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliation.

  • Working with our accounting partners to ensure compliance with global financial regulations and standards.

  • Generate financial reports to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Assist in the applications of grants and tax refunds where financial reporting is necessary.

  • Provide advisory support to senior management on financial matters, including investment opportunities and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CA

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the entertainment or consumer products industry.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting, including international tax requirements.

  • Expertise in financial software and tools (e.g Xero, Excel).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and time management skills.

  • Be extremely organized and have a strong work ethic.

Bonus Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience using a variety of payment systems including Shopify, Paypal, Stripe, and Square. 

  • An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.

  • Experience in international financial markets, requirements, and regulations.

  • Experience with retail, wholesaling, and/or logistics and related financial requirements.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
