Job Information:
Glitch Productions is looking for a highly organised and analytics-focused finance manager to join the team and manage the expanding financial operations of the company. The role will see you working closely with the General Manager to implement internal financial reporting and instruments, as well as creating in-depth financial reports and forecasts for use by the executive team as they plan the expansion of this rapidly growing company. Glitch Productions is at the forefront of changing the way studios produce and fund content, and this role will see you helping chart the path we take and the innovations we make.

Your duties will include:​

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Manage accounting operations including accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.
-
Assist in the applications of grants and tax refunds where financial reporting is necessary.

Provide advisory support to senior management on financial matters, including investment opportunities and risk management.

Lead financial planning sessions and provide insights on financial performance.

Basic bookkeeping.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CA
-
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a finance role, preferably within the entertainment or media industry.

Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting, including international tax requirements.

Expertise in financial software and tools (e.g Xero, Excel).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong stakeholder management and time management skills.

Be extremely organized and have a strong work ethic.

Bonus Skills/Attributes:

Experience using a variety of payment systems including Shopify, Paypal, Stripe, and Square.

An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.

Experience in international financial markets, requirements, and regulations.

Experience with retail, wholesaling, and/or logistics and related financial requirements.
